ePRO-LOG™: Multi-Mode ePRO Solutions

Stamp

The first decision study teams usually make about their ePRO projects is which mode of data collection will be used (e.g. smartphone, tablet computer, web, SMS messaging, IVR).

These decisions have typically involved tradeoffs between choosing the most appropriate mode of ePRO administration with the burden of mastering new and disparate ePRO processes. Now, ePRO-LOG™ supports the strongest possible decision-making for every study by providing a single system for building and operating a wide variety of ePRO administration. This multi-mode ePRO solution includes:

Smartphone options (3.5" screen or 2.8" screen) are good when frequent administration of PRO instruments is required and when portability and alarm reminders are needed.

Tablet IconePRO-LOG™ Tablet

A touch-screen tablet computer is a good ePRO mode for studies where there is dense content, the need for moderate portability exists, and Internet availability is limited. Many Quality of Life questionnaires are good candidates for tablet computers. Tablet ePRO can be deployed as site-based tools or at the patients' homes.

Web IconePRO-LOG™ Web

The web is a good ePRO mode for studies where patients have access to web sites or 3G web enabled phones and for dense content. Many Quality of Life questionnaires are good candidates for web. Web ePRO can be administered at home or in clinic. They are easy to deploy and there are no hardware costs.

SMS IconePRO-LOG™ SMS

Two-way SMS text messaging is appropriate for simple data logging and alert notifications. It is highly mobile and relatively inexpensive. It requires patients to have a SMS enabled phone.

IVR IconInteractive Voice Recognition (IVR)

IVR is a reliable, easy-to-use option for many simple questionnaires. It has relatively low variable costs and is often used for long studies with many patients. Arrowhead works with qualified partners to provide IVR solutions.
